New Zealand TV & HiFi Ltd's owner Dan has had a passion for AV technology and had a soldering iron in his hand since childhood, his bedroom was a Frankenstein of amps and speakers.  His first 5.1ch system setup was when his father purchased a Dolby Prologic Sound System in the early nineties which sounded pretty awesome when the Startrek Enterprise would shoot from the front of the room to the rear in the early days of Nicam on TV3.  He has been working on high quality custom audio visual installations since 2004 and started his original brand AV Installations Ltd in 2006.  In 2016 Dan acquired Kelly Wood Automation Ltd which shifted focus towards automated homes.  Dan is responsible for a large amount of Christchurch's most prestigious integrated homes, with over 200 Control4 jobs under his belt, Dan has the skills and speed required to be able to provide rapid deployment and integration making the final cost more economical.  With the addition of a retail showroom in 2017 near Dan's home on the beach at New Brighton, New Zealand TV & HiFi was born and has now become the primary brand, simple evolution.
