AV Installations Ltd was created as a technical services subcontracting company to support the electrical industry by providing electricians or other contractors the opportunity to add our own services to their jobs.

Audio Visual

If you have a floor plan, we can design an integrated AV system to suit any requirement for residential houses to commercial bars, restaurants and offices.

MATV & Data Networking Services

AVI have trained and experienced techs who can complete RF balancing and commissioning of commercial MATV systems for large complexes such as Rest Homes or Hotels, we have our own high end test equipment. Architectural homes are now having problems with Sky not wanting to install Satellite Dishes at the build stage, we can design mounting systems for today's complex roofs and install a dish and antenna while scaffolding is up.

Automation

With today's high tech environments becoming main stream, clients now expect a certain degree of simplicity when it comes to using their equipment, whether it is TV and Sky operation from a remote source location, multi-room audio control, lighting, blinds, fountains or heating, the list goes on but the consumer expects simple control of these devices, and that is what we can deliver using one of our customized automation solutions.

Security & Access Control

AVI have trained, experienced and licensed Security Technicians who can provide systems installation and servicing of most alarm systems. We are also installers of 2N IP intercoms, generic intercoms, access control systems, Ditec & Centaurian automatic gate motors and controllers including driveway exit vehicle detection loops or sensors.

12x Integrated Projectors and Electric Screens installed at AMF Bowling in ChCh. When dark this provides the venue with one of its varying specialized themes to create a dynamic atmosphere. A very tricky installation as each screen is suspended with rods and perfectly adjusted to be level even though the ceiling is not!

This classic looking home is actually a brand new build in ChCh. The entire house has been designed with a heritage theme but is fully automated. A stand out feature is that old fashioned single switch light switches have been used but are actually not switching any live power. They are tied back to a Control4 automation system which then gives a single switch to do things like dimming of lights, scene activation, goodnight mode and so on. The system manages security cameras, 2x auto gates, access control keypads and an IP intercom.

This bedroom is in a recently repaired heritage house which is partially automated. You just can see the discrete ceiling speakers and the TV is running on a 4K HDMI Matrix Distribution system which is managed by Control4, this makes controlling any room in the house and any source to any TV a breeze.
