At AVI we build custom home theatre designs to suit each client's individual requirements. This takes into account the design of the room, performance, aesthetics, client budget, and ease of use. Designs vary from floor mounted speakers, in-wall flush speakers, in-ceiling flush speakers, recessed cabinet speakers, wall mounted cabinet speakers, freestanding speakers and now even wireless SONOS speakers. We choose an AV Receiver (AVR) based on the speakers selected, it is extremely important to provide the speakers with headroom, and not all amplifiers on the market will perform to the specifications on the sale ticket. If your AVR is under rated to your speaker load, your system will choke and will not be all that it can be, do not skimp on power! A useful feature of today's modern amplifiers is IP control. With IP control and a suitable Control4 driver we gain ease of use and data feedback which allows the actual volume or radio station that the AVR is on, direct to your user interface, great for party mode control, and showing off to your friends about how tech savvy you have become!
Please contact us if you are interested in having a custom solution for your home surround sound system. We have something for everybody, guaranteed!
For Home Theatre design, none provide a better reference guide than Dolby. Whether you are looking at a basic 5.1ch Surround Sound System, a slightly more advanced 7.1ch system or a full blown Dolby Atmos 9.1.2 Surround Sound System, there is a system that suits every one. AVI can design, supply and build your custom home theatre and even automate it so both husband and wife can enjoy the never ending entertainment a well build system can provide.
The most common surround sound systems are:
5.1ch - 3 speakers up front, LEFT, CENTRE, RIGHT, 2 speakers at the rear, REAR LEFT, REAR RIGHT. That makes up the 5 of the 5.1, the .1 is the active subwoofer that provides the warming bass notes and effects we all love.
7.1ch - 3 speakers up front, LEFT, CENTRE, RIGHT, 2 speakers one on each side to the side of the listening position, SURROUND LEFT, SURROUND RIGHT, 2 speakers on each side behind the listening position, SURROUND BACK LEFT, SURROUND BACK RIGHT. That makes up the 7 of the 7.1, once again the .1 is the active subwoofer, if the number is a .2 that would mean you have 2 active subwoofers which could be configured as a left and a right.
